Hi guys, just recently moved from my HTC Hero to Desire S.......'Andriod Loyal'!!! :)

Can anyone assist in telling me how to extend the ringtime before my phone switches to voicemail?

That's normally done through the network and not on the handset its self

Hmmm, on my 3 branded Desire S it can be done through the "Call / Forward when unanswered setting" It gives the number to be forwarded to (usually the voicemail number) and a drop down selector in 5 second increments up to 30 seconds.

Same on Orange, too. Settings > Call > Call forwarding > Forward when unanswered. The default 'Number when unanswered' will be your voicemail number. You can give up to 30 seconds for it to ring until the call is forwarded. Unless you change this setting, it will remain 'Disabled'. I think the factory default without altering this setting is about 20 seconds.
