Extended batteries

Hi, I've read some contrary opinions online so I'm just wondering if anyone can clear this up. Is it possible to increase a batteries capacity without increasing its physical size?

I've read on post that says it is impossible and another that they bought a slim battery which claimed to be high capacity but was in fact the same as the stock battery.

If this is the case then I suppose these should be avoided...

If that is an accurate measurement, then it should be higher capacity battery. The stock one is only 1230mAh.

In my opinion, HTC used a cheap batteries for this device to reduce the price. The size of of battery rather big, in the same size capacity may be more. But the price has to be higher.
So, I want to buy higher capacity battery on ebay too

Well, with the same mAh rating, the battery in my Optimus is about twice the physical size of the battery for my wife's WS.

Hi, be careful with some Gold wildfire S batteries on EBAY and be sure to go and have a look at the seller's negative feedback, I've just sent one back that was 30% too short to fit in the phone and therefore total rubbish and it seemed I wasn't the only person having a prob. Some of these sellers are selling 20k items a month, a lot of which is rubbish but they don't care. Molevision
