    I'm wondering if anyone could possibly help with with this please?

    I have a wireless router at home & a laptop that doesn't have a wireless receiver build in. I want to be able to plug my xperia x10 into my laptop and use that to make my laptop wireless;

    Is there an app for that?

    Thanks

    Go to Android Marketplace. Using search, type: wifi tethering.

    That would tether the phone's 3g to the computer, which requires you to be rooted. He wants to use the phone as a receiver for his wifi, which I'm almost positive you cannot do.

    Why cant you just connect an ethernet cable to the computer and router?

    I don't know if you can use your phone as a WiFi dongle, why would you want to deal with that hassle? USB WiFi dongles are about $5 on ebay.
