Alright, first I did do a search and this has probably been answered, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I plugged the phone into my Windows 7 laptop, the laptop recognized it, found the drivers, and I can access the memory from My Computer.

However, when I go to drag and drop my files to the phone, I first get a warning that the device may not recognize the file (click on ignore) and then the transfer starts but it's obnoxiously slow. For around 7 gigs that took 10 minutes transferring from the SD card on my Incredible, I was given an estimate of 4+ hours on the Nexus.

Is there any way around this? Google Music just isn't an option.

Edit: Tried switching from MTP to PTP and that reduced the time to around an hour. Still seems like it shouldn't take that long.

Have you tried the Samsung drivers on their sight under support to see if it's any better?

After doing that, it seems to have sped up MTP transfer, which is still going to take 50 minutes instead of the original four hours.

That still seems excessive. I don't really understand why it would be 5x slower than transferring from an SD card via USB.

Noticed this issue too. It would have been nice if Samsung noted the model number on their spec sheet.
