A bit confused, the topic and question are mixing two, diferent apps.

Group Play it's a media sharing feature. You can play music on your device and stream it to someone else in the same time.

FaceTime is Apple's native app, which resembles a very simplified version of Skype.

If you are looking for something like FaceTime, then you can use Skype, which is cross OS and platform compatible. Or Samsung's native ChatOn.

Or use Google Talk, though I think that may be changing soon (changing name?).

Which app is used during the commercials, where people are making video calls and can switch between the front and rear camera while still connected? Is that part of ChatOn? Trying to get the hang of anything native before I go 3rd party.

I've found Google Hangouts to be the most reliable, next midst reliable was Skype
