How can I prevent/fix my Facebook timeline from going back to the TOP while scrolling thru the timeline.

issue: while reading the posts on the time line and scrolling thru the older post all of a sudden without any warning and sometimes without me noticing it the timeline goes all the way back to the top showing new posts and going back thru the ones that I had just read.

Are you using the Facebook app or are you using a browser?

I am not sure whether all your devices use touchwiz or not, but this is mainly a touchwiz setting. scroll to your motions settings, then go to touchwiz settings and check the option for "double tap to top." If this doesn't work, or you cannot see any touchwiz settings, then you can uninstall the app, and install it a fresh. If you can't install the app(possibly on unrooted device), then read on...
Sometimes this is a problem caused by an installed app, which when installed turns on the automatic scroll to top, if you can recall on the app installed before having this problem, then you can get your app working as you expect. If you are not sure of the app, then you will have to factory reset your device after backing up all your data. You can also go to your motion settings and turn some settings off.

Only happens on Facebook, so I think it's a Facebook issue, NOT A device issue... Did it on my last 2 phones... I havent had any other app have this random "pop to the top issue"...

I think the Facebook app is refreshing on it's own.

It's definitely the app. It happened on my Nexus 2012, Moto Droid Maxx, Moto Droid Ultra, and has continued to happen on my Nexus 2013 and Note 4.

I think it's a bug. It happens when you return from browsing something and the feed refreshes, forcing new content to come into your current view. Happens to me very day, and it's insanely annoying, especially when I'm like 10 minutes into my feed .

I have had the same problem all since I can remember. Sad to say I'm happy to see I'm not alone, though I wish we all could find a solution to this problem.

    Any news on this?
