i'm finding myself low on internal storage space. i went to manage my apps only to find that the facebook app (4.35MB) is not capable of moving to SD and on top of that it has 27MB of "data" saved.

what is that 27MB for? what will happen if i clear that data?

That's a known bug with facebook. For whatever reason, it's a major data hog. I've seen some people report data usage up in the 100s of MB. Anyway, if you clear data, the worst you'll have to do, likely, is change all your settings again (for the app, that is).

Then I guess you don't have anything to worry about. Otherwise, it probably just downloaded a bunch of stuff that it will just have to redownload. It won't mess with your profile or anything. Think of it like uninstalling/reinstalling the app.
