What's new in the update? I never really cared for the android fb app.

blblack16, is this with the newest update? Have you confirmed that your phone is still sleeping? If your up and awake time have been going for awhile, it could be hard to tell the changed.
meangreendub, I actually don't remember what the old app was like, but I know I didn't like it and used bloo instead. This new one looks to be much, much better.

I think the only thing they need to add (which surprised me it didn't make this update) is the ability to get into your inbox and send messages.
Other than that, the update is pretty much a re-write of the app. The widget is redesigned and there is a bunch more new stuff.

I definitely have the newest version. Which brings me to ask, did this version take away our notification options?? I heard my phone do the facebook pop sound. I never had it set for that, but for the life of me I can't find them anymore.
Oh, and BTW, my phone us sleeping fine.

There are still notification options. Click the menu key from the "home" page and you'll get settings for it.
The app is basically like browsing to the mobile facebook site, but as a nice, slick app instead.
Huge improvement. Biggest additions that I noticed:
* Can search friends now
* New 'Home' screen that allows you to pick between news feed, notifications, photo albums, take and upload an immediate pic to FB, profile.
* You can now see who 'likes' your status (before it would not display)
* No more 'shake to refresh' (I personally liked the shake)
* Under 'notifications', it not only displays new ones, but allows you to quickly read the comments made or be taken to that particular wall post, note, comment etc.
* Widget slightly re-designed. I still don't like it and wish they would do something more like the 'Peep' widget that allows you to smoothly scroll through updates.
* Adds a new 'Tiger' app, that schedules all your hotel visits with your mistresses...and subsequent appointments to the free clinic
* One of these are made up
* Basically makes it less necessary to use the mobile version to check basic functions.
I'm sure there are more, but these are the ones I noticed and am pleased with, as I use the app a lot.

Did you check your awake time stats after opening the program? I noticed that just having it installed was fine, but after opening it then my phone wouldnt sleep
Yes, after I updated it last night I had to go into it and enter my user/pass again and after it logged in I checked a few of my friends status' and looked at some of the new features. I have not restarted my phone since that point and i'm at 11% awake now. After the 7% from earlier.
