I got my Incredible last week and a few days later I got the OTA installation for Froyo. Since installing my phone has been a little sluggish and the battery life isn't as good as 2.1. I'm considering doing a factory reset since that's what has helped some people. A few questions though:

    1) How do I do a factory reset?
    2) Will doing a factory reset bring my phone back to 2.1 or 22?
    3) How do I back up the apps I've downloaded? Specifically the PAID ones. Will I have to pay again for them?

    Thanks!

1)To do a hard reset go to Menu>Settings>SD & Phone Storage>Factory Data Reset. Just remember it will wipe everything but the SD card so if you have anything on the internal storage make sure you move it or back it up before you reset.
    2) It should still be 2.2
    3) You can use Astro or Mybackup pro ( both available in the market) I use Mybackup Pro. You wont have to pay again for apps you've already paid for. Once you put your gmail account in the phone it will sync them back to the market. Just go to the Market>Menu>Downloads and they should be there. Then just reinstall them.

    Hope that helps.
