Need some more info. What rom are trying to update? What recovery are you using? Have you change or updated your recovery, and if so how did you do it?

Be careful downloading from Rom Manager. I've heard way to many stories of problems trying to download roms and flashing with it. If you must use it, manually override the phone type in the menu to Optimus one and look for the V rom in there. Don't just go flashing the newest update, it may not be compatible with our phone. Try this, it may help.
