Faster-Rendering Keyboard?

On my N7000 Note running Android 4.1.2, sometimes the on-screen keyboard pops up almost instantly, other times it takes a full second or more to come up.

"Instant" is my expectation. Anything over about a quarter of a second is a nuisance.

Indeed. Memory Locker from the Google Play store locks your chosen applications which you require to open at the touch of a button in memory.

I am pretty sure it is the one that came with the device. Been through a couple alternates, but have uninstalled them.
