What are your favorite free sites for ringtones and wallpapers, etc? I used to use Myxer a lot, but now most things cost. Would love some new places to go!

As for a site, I've been using Phonezoo since my friend recommended it to me.

So I just got the ringdroid app, then connected my DI to my computer, downloaded several mp3 files, songs, etc. and made ringtones out of them. I loaded some mp3 files that my brother made (he is a dj) and ringdroid automatically recognized them, so I just saved them as ringtones, good to go. No need to worry about finding websites with free ringtones, just make your own.

    HUH.....
mabilo is an app. You put in the song you want and bam it appears. No need to create your own. 100000 times faster than creating your own.

That is what I am saying. I did the same thing with ringdroid, an app, just put in any song, mp3 etc, and bam, ringtone. No need to go find websites is all I was saying.:)

So on all my old dumbphones, VCAST would charge me a few bucks to get a new ringtone. Using these Android apps, all of these would be free now? Is there any fine print I'm missing? Sounds too good to be true!

    Hi,
My favorite site is ddnmobile.com. It has huge free ringtones, wallpapers, games, and apps to be downloaded to your mobile. I used to download some mp3 files, songs, and ringtones etc. and some free games to my brother i.e., to his mobile.
I am sure you will definitely like the stuffs in ddnmobile.com.

zedge is sneaky. You actually sign a 10/mo contract when you enter that pin number to download ringtones.

I never had to enter a pin. Is that when you sign up for an account? Granted I only downloaded one notification sound, but I didn't sign up for an account or have to enter a pin.

I usually use Phonezoo, save to my PC and then put it on the SD card. Old habits...lol.

    Huh?

I have Zedge and have no idea what you're talking about. I had to enter no PIN number nor was there any place stating that I would be charged.

You must be using a different Zedge. I have been using it for months, downloaded many ring tones and wallpapers and have never seen what you are referencing.

Zedge doesn't have any songs to download as ringtones (at least not any songs that I actually wanted to hear). Just sounds/alarms/notifications. FYI.

FYI, your post has nothing to do with with either the OP question or the response I posted and you quoted. Next..

OK, I just downloaded a ringtone off the phonezoo site to my EVO. It downloaded successfully but I cant find where it downloaded to and how to get it into my ringtone menu. I would appreciate any how-to information. Thanks.

I've used Zedge for a handful of notification sounds and alarms. I'll definitely check out Mabilo.

I kinda thought that, too, when I first got my phone. Then I remembered that I'm paying a $30/month premium for the honor of having a smart phone. So not really too good to be true, but a nice perk.
