    Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes
    Manchester Orchestra - Simple Math

Lots of decent albums have come out this year, but nothing I really feel was really great collectively... Jury is still out on Watch the Throne.

    Awesome!

Also, a collection - the wild was released not that long ago.
And you could check out all the AOSB stuff they have. It's just not from this year.

AOSB? Heh I'm bad with acronyms if the full name hasn't been established in the conversation... do you like Deep Elm Records? The free album for today is awesome.

Ahh my bad. Arrogant sons of bitches. It was Jeff's previous band before BTMI!

I'll have to look into Deep Elm Records.

Deep Elm has a ton of post-rockish stuff if you're into that. They have some nice pop-punk and indie pop as well.

Just bought the new Hawthorne Heights record on vinyl and got the mp3 downloads yesterday. Best thing they've ever done.

I usually DL individual songs since I rarely like entire albums, but I tend to like at least 80% of the songs on Kid Rock albums. So, my vote:

    Kid Rock - Born Free

I honestly haven't been able to listen to songs outside of an album context since I stopped listening to the radio.

I can't believe I typed "albumbs." LOL edited to fix!!

Yeah I hardly ever listen to the radio any more. It's just so frustrating with all the commercial breaks. And it's like they all go to commercial breaks at the same time. grrr. But it's nice to hear new stuff..then I just DL it to my phone bluetooth it when I'm driving. :)

I had no clue they had a new album coming out! thats going onto my must buy list since a new slot just opened on it :p

also, just picked up the new Primus album, Green Naugahyde, and so far I'm in love with it. It doesnt have as many stand out songs on it like some other of their albums, but there aren't bad songs, they are all great!

Then theres the new mastodon Album can't wait for that one either! BAH such a good year, tons of good albums, concerts, and video games!

narrowing it down as much as i can (since i don't want to do a huge list), i get down to 3:

ulcerate - the destroyers of all
cannabis corpse - beneath grow lights thou shalt rise
immolation - providence (yes, it's an ep; so sue me)
