Hey everyone! I rooted my eris the other day with the all in one 0_3. I have a few questions about everything.

    1. how do I know If there is an update for the specific root I used? and to update will I lose everything?

    2. I can't seem to get usb tether to work. pdanet works but I want all access lol. the wired-tether-root program. it runs on my Eris , but doesn't access the net. xp x86 and 7 x64. I have two root required wireless applications installed that work perfectly, I just want a usb app too.

    3. if the rooted rom I used isn't the best, can I get some opinions as to what to try?

    4. thanks everyone for making this possible for us all!!

Most devs will let you know when they update a rooted ROM. I use pdanet and I have full access to the internet with 7 x64 bit machine except for some https sites. The all in one 0_3 is by grdlock and it is the most up to date version.

What other access are you refering too?

The https access after pdanet expires. Basically I want to use unrestricted net with the usb so my eris is plugged in to use less battery and less heat. Any ideas as to why the usb tether program tat looks just like tIe wireless tether app doesn't work?

I've been hoping a dev would get it working as well.

But from what i've read the option needs to be activated in the kernel.
