Figuring out the battery

I just tried to replace the dead battery in my LG Android Ally. Popped into the Verizon store, which is how I have done this since my first cell phone in 2005. They don't sell batteries anymore:thinking: (!) They recommended Radio Shack. The clerk at Radio Shack tried, but they don't have the one I need, LGIP-400V. (3.7 volt). This seems like awful customer service to me. Is it just Verizon, or is it now impossible to buy batteries anywhere but online now?

Welcome to the Android Forums!

With the proliferation of phones on the market these days it's virtually impossible for them to stock replacements for everything.

Depending on whether or not they have a location in your area, check to see if you are near a Batteries Plus. They sell a large number of cell phone batteries in their stores...

Another source on the Internet is Amazon.com...
