I've downloaded free online radio app, same one I used at verizon store stream acc file opened from a web browser. However my new phone doesn't associate those files with that player. Is this a problem with the browser or the player?. Is there a program that can set file associations?

I am looking for one as well. I'll let you know if I find one. No listings on the market.

Android uses defaults to set file associations. Normally when you install a new app that can work with file types another already installed app can then it should ask you which app you want to use and give you the option to set it as the default app. If you didn't get this after installing a new app then it's very likely that the app does not support what you are trying to open.

I would suggest taking a note of the app that is currently being used for the file type then go in to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > find that app and clear it's defaults.
