I had jailbroken iPhone 1yr a go I was using IFILE to listen musics and explore the file-system
am looking for alternative to that app in android.

Well today I goat my self the HTC ONE X (international version)
so I plugged it in to my ubuntu system and it popedup and gave me folders
    Code (Text):
    1. /media/HTC STORAGE/
    2.                     7digital
    3.                     Alarms
    4.                     Android
    5.                     DCIM
    6.                     Downloads
    7.                     gifts
    8.                     LOST.DIR
    9.                     media
    10.                     Movies
    11.                     Music
    12.                     My documents
    13.                     myhtc
    14.                     Notifications
    15.                     openfeint
    16.                     Pictures
    17.                     Podcasts
    18.                     Ringtones
    19.                     soundhound
    20.                     starhubmusic
    21.                     XMS
I tghout it is going to be simple so i just draged my music folder from my comp to music folder in this device("/HTC STORAGE/Music")
but the problem was i could not locate this folders in file mangers
and if I will fiond where this folder is loacted am going to need fgood file manager so i was not forced to open file by file

the reason i loved "IFILE" was one opened folder lets say it contained 15 mp3 files and clicked one of them it would start playing and it would switch to next one by itself
it had music and video player integrated in its self

you may ask; why wont you just use/ed native plyer way it is designed to be used
the reason is i like to be in control and I have my music sorted in folders
i tried to use native player but it sorted by the albums and musicians i cold not find what i wanted it was playing randomly
(once i was in college, I was listening to some classical music and professor looked at me and smiled and she started fallowing the sound suddenly it switched to some thug song I felt so embarrassed).

Just dump your folders into Music, or make your own folder, then download a player that supports Folders, like PowerAmp or MortPlayer. You can use those players to navigate to the folders and just play whats in the folder.

Also, while I am not sure for an HTC phone, on a Samsung, if you go to Music Player>Settings>Music Menu>and check on "folders", when you go to the Folders tab, it will list all the folders with music files in them and play only the contents of that specific folder. For example, I have a folder for Christmas Songs in my SD card. If I go to Music Player>Folders>Christmas, it will only play the songs in that folder. You can also do that using PowerAmp and MortPlayer.

Not sure if it works all the time, since I only did it once, but MX Player did that for me on Gundam 00 movie, played the 6 files in order and stopped at the end, and they were all located in a separate folder on their own.

    thanks i'll try that

in "IFILE" in jailbroken iPhone app

everything was together in one app a "a good file system manager", "text editor", "a good audio player", and it had a good support toward native- "video player" and "picture viewer"

we/I surly could use the app like that.

Weel, Samsung's MyFiles app can do that, but its Samsung only. You can browse your file folders and clicking on an item opens the text editor, music player, video player or whatever you have. For example opening a video would automatically open it in MX player or whatever is your default app. Not so sure on HTC file management app.

    Try Astro File Manager.
