is there an effective way to get the pics/music/anything else (not including apps) from one android to another?

Sure, if they both take an SD card pop it out of one and into another.

I am going to move this thread to the android lounge where it will receive more responses.

unfortunately galaxy nexus does not have an SD card.

i tried to wifi direct, but the gnex does not let me edit the settings, only to turn it on. might be a 4.0.4 bug. i get it connected to my transformer, but by the time i can get to a pics folder i want to transfer, the sifi direct does not show up in the share via menu.

Can use pc (connect first android to pc/copy files/disconnect/connect second android/drag and drop)

If apps are from market, account syncs. Data wont sync unless rooted. Backup apps work, as long as you install on one device, log in, save apps, install program on second device, and log in...

Something wrong with using Dropbox, Skydrive, Google Drive, Sugarsync, Box, etc...?

Or just pluggng your phone/tablet into a pc, turning on usb mode and moving the files onto the pc, then on to whatever device?
