Help Files on internal memory not showing on PC

Recently got the phone (love it) but noticed when it is connected to my PC, I can't access the files on the internal memory. The folders are there, just the files are not showing up. The SD card files are fine.

I did notice if I clicked + hold inside a folder where files would be and started to move around, there was no clear blue box like usual.

Any suggestions/advice for fixing this?

In Settings -> Xperia Connectivity -> USB Connectivity, are you set to Mass Storage (MSC) or MTP?

The answer will probably be the one but if not, what files are you trying to look at, is "show hidden files" in your windows explorer selected if you're trying to look into system files etc?
