As we are heading to final coutdown of the Epic, let's take a moment and share something we may have liked or dislike or what we will miss about our current phones.

For me I have the Moment. You have served me well...except for the lock ups, the sparatic restarts every day, the 20 minutes it takes to make a call...this is what I hope to miss.:D

Things I won't miss about my Moment:

    - Data lockups (Happens unbelievably frequently as of late)
    - Random restarts
    - Double boot ups (It boots up and then at the lock screen goes back to the boot up animation a 2nd time. Having the data lock ups means I have to go through this LONG wait many times)
    - Small 3.2 inch screen with Medium resolution
    - Lag
    - Grounding issues while charging the phone (Crazy screen)
    - Having to remove the battery in order to get to the micro sd card
    - I'll stop here lol

    Things I will miss:

    - Dedicated call button (useful for getting to my contacts quickly)
    - Track pad
    - Colored settings (Although 2.2 will bring this)
    - Capacitive buttons order (Home, Menu, Back)

Wont miss about my Bold; reboots, battery pulls, the little clock thing, phone not being able to keep up with what I am doing and so on and so forth.

Will miss about my Bold; bbm, the fact that I know what I am doing on a bb.

In keeping with the current theme.

    What I won't miss about my 3Gs:
Lack of customization (even jailbroken it's a pain in arsh)
Lack of Flash (camera and software)
    Constant typos from the touchscreen
Being locked down to Apple crap
    High monthly bill

    What I will miss:
Podcasting (need to find a solution for Android)
All of my music (I'll need a 32gb card ASAP)
Words with Friends (Although I suck, it is fun)
All of the accessories that are available
    Battery Life

Unfortunately it's Android only. It would be AWESOME if they would make a cross platform game. I know a ton of people with Apple devices. Not so many with Androids. I'm actually stepping out of the norm by getting one.

Well the obvious solution here would be to convince your "friends" that they should leave the walled garden. The freedom of Android is infectious, just expose them to the many possibilities, and the idea itself will grow like cancer within them.

Oddly appropriate, given that Android is slowly taking over my life.. I spend too much time on it.

This will be my first smart phone. I've been using the Samsung Sync for the last 2 years, and although it has held up well, and has great reception, there wont be much to miss here. Can't wait to get the Epic! Especially after finding out it uses Gorilla glass.

I currently have a Motorola Cliq on T-Mobile.........

    What I will miss:
1.) The cursor on the keyboard is perfect for playing NES games on my Cliq
2.) The keyboard has really nice rounded keys and its very responsive
3.) Some parts of MotoBlur are actually pretty nice...I love my rss feeds and all of my synced contacts....I hope the Epic will have some similar features as well.
4.) The cool lit up Motorola logo on the back of the screen when the keyboard is open...LOL
5.) It is/was my first Android phone
6.) Having a sim card since I'm on T-Mobile...You will be sorely missed sim card....Maybe someday when Sprint and T-Mobile form one company I will have one again....I always said I wouldn't give up my sim card but I can't pass this phone up!
7.) T-Mobile......I always like their customer service and their coverage but I'm jumping ship because my bill will go from $94/month down to $30/month after I join my sister's family plan....Best phone on the market with much smaller monthly bill equals a no-brainer....Sorry T-Mobile, I love ya but I gotta go!!!!

    What I won't miss:
1.) Slow processor that causes a lot of screen delays, lagging, and force closes
2.) Some really crappy parts of MotoBlur like the inability to only have certain friends show up on my Facebook feed (This should be addressed with the 2.1 update that I will likely get the day before I buy my Epic....LOL)....Sorry Motorola but too little too late...You dropped the ball big time!
3.) Not being able to access over 50% of the apps in the Android Marketplace because I am stuck in the Android Dark Ages of 1.5
4.) Having no flash or night vision mode on the camera
5.) The much smaller 3.1 inch screen with no Super Amoled....Night & Day
6.) Paying $94/month for my phone bill

I'm itching to try out this phone, not for myself (perfectly happy with the Evo), but for my wife, who is currently using a crappy iPhone 3G and has expressed interest in the iPhone4. Not sure why she's so stuck on the iPhones. Aside from being pretty, they are so frustrating in their limitations.

She has been impressed with my phone, and i'm hoping the Epic will wow her more. Then, I can get her on Sprint with me and we can do a family plan.

I am ditching my 3Gs for an Epic. My wife on the other hand won't give up her 3Gs for anything. She loves her iPhone. Honestly I really like it for her as well. It's pretty simplified and hard to screw up. It's one of the first semi-advanced electronics that she has used and not destroyed. She tends to be like the cartoon Tasmanian devil when it comes to electronics.

There's a world of difference between the 3G and 3Gs after an iOS4 upgrade. The 3G is severely broken. The 3Gs is not. Google: iPhone 3G iOS4 and you'll see what I mean. Battery life is horrendous, the phone is extremely laggy, exchange is deathly slow, etc.

I plan to take her to the Sprint store so she can play with the Epic firsthand. I suspect she will love it once she gets to touch it. She loves both swype and physical keyboards.

Thought that the review was pretty unbiased and accurate. I like how he said that HE doesn't like physical keyboards - didn't really dis the kb on the device. THEN - at the end - he's talking about QIK and NO FFC???

I agree: iOS4 on a 3G just doesn't work. It would even crash while attempting to call someone. I had to revert to a previous version, which is a PITA. It was hard to say goodbye to that unified mailbox.

My contract has been up for 2 months so it's been a painful wait for the Epic, especially! What I will miss most about my iPhone 3G is all the time I had to do other things while trying to do anything on that thing.

(The iPhone 3G was a great phone when it came out like 26 mos. ago. It's amazing how bad it is now by today's standards.)

I'm well aware of the difference. I'm quite happy that the 3Gs is still regarded as a modern device. I will be able to resell it for a decent amount because of that.:D

    Going from EVO to Epic.

If the EVO had a slide-out QWERTY and Super Amoled, it would be the perfect Android.

Unfortunately, I really need the Keyboard and that is the main draw for me. I really hope the Epic lives up to my expectations.

I will miss my kickstand and 4.3 screen!
