After much consideration and reading these forums, I finally rooted my phone...

I used the Plain Jane ROM, however, I am noticing that it really seems to drain my battery.... Did I do something wrong?

How can I tell that I am really rooted? I mean, if a person were to randomly pick up my phone, what could they look for to know that I am rooted?

I am new at this, so any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm not sure if this will help, but I've heard that when using a new custom rom, it's a good idea to Wipe battery stats.

According to n2imagination over on XDA:

    Here's the entire thread.

Obviously, YMMV, but I think this may be a good start.
