I did the Menu>Settings>Manage Applications, and it shows up as version 2.2, not 2.2.1.

I saw the link listed below and it has it listed as 'About Gmail' version 2.2.1. Anyway that link I cannot find.

When I go on the Gmail Application and go to Select Menu>Settings>More, there is no About option. There is a Help option, which I selected, but there is no About option available.

That's why I'm confused by the link. I know it can be a fake 'About Gmail' page, but all other google applications have an 'About' page, but for Gmail, I can't find it.

That version, 2.2.1, is not officially released, that is why you cannot find it. It is no in the market.

Thanks but the easiest way to find your Gmail version is open up the application Menu > More > About... the easiest way is that instead of going to manage applications and find it in that long list.

There is no "more" in the menu of my gmail app. When I went through the manage applications route I saw a version # of 130.

    I have not received froyo....

BTW, has anyone tried the 2.2.1 link? I tried it, but the os said there is a problem with the file...
