Fire Stick connected to projector

My son loaded Kodi onto our Amazon Fire Stick and we now feel like we've opened a whole other world of entertainment!

We have a family gathering coming up where someone is going to bring a projector to have a movie night for the kids in the backyard. Does anyone know if there are any limitations with using the Fire Stick on a projector? Is it easy? Are there certain power requirements necessary?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for your response mikedt! I've heard of projectors showing "Low Power" warning with the Fire Stick when it's plugged in and in use. I'm assuming this may only be an issue on certain projectors but not sure if there's a specific way to determine if it's going to be a problem with the projector we'll be using.

What projector will you be using?
Just got this information! The projector that will be used is an AAXA M5. Never heard of AAXA until now but I was actually able to find a YouTube video where they featured the Amazon Fire Stick with it:
A little random that it's the only video uploaded by that user but glad it helps me out!

Family gathering is coming up this weekend so I will have to report back how it turns out. Projector seems pretty small but I'm crossing my fingers it ends up working out.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for sharing! I am debating to buy a projector, too. I came across a couple of brands and models. I appreciate the size and price of this M5 model. How does it perform tho? I saw the lumen is not as high as I would like. Do you have a problem to use it in the backyard? I will mainly use it in my dorm tho, but I don't want an entirely dark room.

I am excited about the Samsung S8 mirroring feature since I own the phone. Looks nice to me. Have you ever tried it?

Yeah, we had the movie night! It worked fine, but you have to make sure the backyard is dark enough, meaning no bright lights on at night. Surprisingly, the sound well. I noticed many people mentioned that almost all of mini projectors need to connect to a speaker.

I think if you only use in your dorm, it should work well! During my research, I came across other popular projectors from BenQ, Optoma, Vivitek when I did my research. They all good brands. AAXA also has a new M6 model that you might wanna check as well.
