I got a Firmware update for my S4 this evening, well it came during the afternoon but I was at work when I was notified. It was 384mb (or there abouts) I've no idea what this was.

Looks like the OP is in the UK and not on VZW. ;)

Did the update say what firmware it's downloading or asking you to install??

Good point, well OK then, it's a different update - feel free to ignore my previous message. :)

I am in the UK using S4 Sim Free and it has just uploaded as well being about 384Mb. Which is the firmware numbering? Baseband version or Android version 4.2.2?

I can't recall it mentioning any name before agreeing the install.:(

I've not noticed any differences, yet

I have just had the update, and it is Android v4.2.2 and the baseband version is I9505XXUBMGA.

I see that it allows you to transfer apps to the SD card (or was that in a previous update?)

There has also been a problem, affecting many people, with crackling/distortion at high volume on earphones, which has been cured in this update. (At least, it has been for me.)
