A private beta of DoggCatcher (podcast catcher) just got updated to allow downloading of podcasts to Incredibles internal storage. I'm sure it'll be on Market soon but this is a good sign that developers will start supporting that internal storage so it's useful.

Btw on a side note, DoggCatcher is my most critical app on Android and I couldn't live without it. If you're into podcasts at all, check it out. It's well worth the price IMHO.

How does this app compare to Google Listen?

All apps that use sd storage should be updated sooner or later. All it requires is a snippet of code to check for the internal storage before sd card. However it would be nice to be able to choose where the data is stored via a settings menu.

Can't you just use the browser to download stuff? It has a setting to download to internal storage.
