    Hi,

Let's not waste an introduction. I love taking things apart (and I love putting them back together working almost as well just as much!).

But before I root my B&N Nook, I've seen several questions asking people to post the 1.4.2 firmware. But I've not seen it posted and I've not seen any instructions on how to capture the stock firmware. Someone must have done this before. Or maybe this will be my first project on the Nook....

But a little more limited that my Nexus One as far as being easy to do stuff with. For example you have to do some hacking to turn on "adb" and "fastboot".

Here's a the best introduction I've found to the nook and android OS (it is the whole web site, though): nookDevs .

If that link is not a 'good thing' (and having read the 'Site Rules/Guidelines' introduction, it might not be). Feel free to delete it (or if you can't and I can, tell me to).
