Hmmm, I dropped my Hero lots of times and not so much as a scratch. Maybe depends on how it lands...

If you drop on the screen, I guess it could crack easily.

No GG on the N1; Motorola has had a partnership with GG since the RAZR. Even so, GG will shatter, after all, it is glass. But it's definitely more resilient than normal glass. That being said, like someone said, it depends on how it lands and what it lands on. There's a picture of the DROID on this website, where the DROID fell out of someone's pocket, presumably from leg height and landed head on onto a concrete driveway. Shattered, but functional. Just be careful with your devices. Eventually, someone's going to create a Wii-like wrist band for these smartphones. If not, it's a million-dollar idea, I give you permission to use it :)

HTC already makes a Wii like wrist strap for the Hero. Best Buy sells the HTC Smart Mobility, Gel Skin with Wrist Strap for $20, item# 33653BBR

there's also the little finger strap that sticks on the back and loops around a finger.

    ...No thanks.
