    Hey all,

I am getting my new smart phone tomorrow, the HTC Desire HD and i'm mega excited. :D I just wanted to find out a couple of things but I apologise in advance if I am repeating a question that has previously been answered.

    - What app can I instal that will track my call usage, text and download/upload usage? So that I can see when I am getting close to my monthly allowance.

    - What app will let me sync my iCal dates from my mac? This is really important for me as I use it a lot. And I really like its interface, so would prefer something very similar for the phone. I would also like to be able to sync from my phone back to ical on my mac.

Thanks in advance for your help!

N.b. I read from time to time stuff about "DHD" but i'm not sure what that stands for. Can somebody fill me in? Cheers!

I just found STATS, to cover my first question. Has anyone tried this and can recommend it as a reliable app?

    I was also just wondering..

    - when I instal my first app, will i need an internet connection?
    - does that installation effect itself to the data allowance?

    Cheers!

You download 99% of apps through the Market which is online so you require an Internet connection for sure. And you do need a data plan, otherwise using Android will be a big pain and lots of features not accessible.

Well it's not such a big pain if you have access to WIFI :)
