Ok so I installed adobe flash 10.1 on my eris yesterday, but I'm not seeing any difference. Does the 10.1 overwrite the flashlite? How can I see which flash is running?

From what I've heard it's a farce. Adobe has already stated multiple times that the 10.1 update cannot operate independently from 2.2, it relies on part of the software to function.

Flash Lite is part of the phone. It comes stock with it.

I know that Dolphin Browser HD released an update today that added support for Flash 10.1 for Froyo, but I assume it means Flash 10.1 all around. Haven't tried it yet, though.

I don't believe you will see any noticable difference. THe Flash 10.1 that is available with 2.2 relies on an ARM8 processor, while our Eris' only have ARM6. THe hardware will never keep up with the demands of the program.

Nestor (thenestor) tried it and wasn't impressed...I took that as a sign that I too would not be interested...haven't tried it.

It does work. Very well? no, but it does work. I used games from Addictinggames.com to test it and they played perfectly, but you could not control the game. When trying videos, very few worked. When I unistalled, I went back to the games website to test if they would still play with flashlite but they did not. Its a very large "application" that does not much more than flash lite. BTW it does not improve the quality of flash videos so I would not recommend it.
