Hi phone noob here. I am running 2.2 but don't have flash. I keep reading that froyo is the answer but I'm not sure how or where to get it. Not having flash is very annoying and I just need to know what I need to do to get it. Thanks in advance for any help given.

strange... are you sure you're running 2.2 tho? make sure by checking settings > about phone > firmware version

or try search "adobe" or "flash player 10.1" instead

Ok so I thought I was running 2.2 but it says 2.1-update1 so now the question is how do I upgrade to 2.2?

actually it doesnt matter as long as you have a galaxy s and not a vibrant / captivate / epic 4g etc.. use caution with the hack because as always things can get wrong if you're not careful

If you didn't even know which version of Android you are on, it probably means you know very little about flashing firmwares. There are certain risks associated when you attempt to do things that are outside the range of normal operation. So be careful, and do some research first.
