So the 2.3.34 update wouldn't work. Assumed it was complications with my rom or something. So i flashed to 2.3.32 and tried to apply the 2.3.34 ZIP file... failed..... What the hell do I need to do ?

Simply used rsd light to flash the 2.3.34 system only sbf. file from 2.3.32. All is well

Glad to hear that. Have you taken a look at the ApeX 1.3 rom, yet?

I haven't installed a rom.. I really have liked Rubix. It's the ROM i seem to consistently go back to. Just ran apex from the time i flashed to 2.3.32 and have no real problems. Was pretty solid. I'm currently charging my phone to try to put on a Rom before bed time. What ROMS are built for this system flash of 2.3.34 I think Rubix 1.9.0 is. I think i had a 1.3.
The only other real gripe is that I don't like how adw launcher makes my menu slide sideways instead of down like the stock one. Can i switch that in settings or would i need a different launcher?

It sounds like you don't like the transitions ...go into spare parts and disable them, I also believe the dev tools folder can do this as well

Alright you win. I'll flash Apex and try it out for a while. I didn't know about the spare parts thing. Saw it, just never investigated. I will try that when i get everything back and running. Thanks G-men. What theme would you recommend with apex? With rubix i had blackglass and tried the blackjuice as well. not bad. I tried BIGdx but I bricked trying to install so i gave up.

    Top apex themes?

    Yewwtah!
You can change it in the menu. ADWSettings/DrawerSettings/AppDrawerStyle

And change it to Vertical Plain.
