I have been messing around with rooting and installing custom roms then going stock messing with settings then going to another to see how I like it. In the past, after I flashed a stock .sbf file I would be prompted for the Froyo OTA update. I just did it again last night.

So, I was wondering, can you flash your phone too many times where you start to cause problems? And, does Verizon keep a check on how many times you've downloaded an update? Or, is it just not popping up because FRG22D is out?

You'll most likely never reached the maximum times your rom can be flashed. Don't worry about it.

I didn't think so. Any speculation as to why I can no longer download the OTA update if I flash to a 2.1 or 2.0.1 SBF like I have in the past?
