Anyone of you have a flip cover for the Note? Do you like it? If so which one do you have? I want to get one too. Or if there is some other cover one of you have and likes let me know. Tarsier
It's not very nice I must say the thing is actually quite fragile, so if you intend to put it in your pockets, chances are the edges of the cover will worn out pretty easily and it makes using the note very troublesome - holding the note with the flip cover is quite awkward, especially when you try to take pictures with it
The flip case is great to look at but bad at protecting the phone, basically the only thing that it protects is the screen. It does that pretty well and certainly keeps a very slim profile whilst doing that, but all the sides are exposed and its useless for that. I went for this: FlexiShield Skin For Samsung Galaxy Note - Black And these: Martin Fields Screen Protector Twin Pack - Samsung Galaxy Note And to complete, these: SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE NEOPRENE POUCH / CASE / COVER: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics I only use the pouch when i need to, but the screen protector and flexiskin case is sufficient to protect the phone, edges, camera lense and home button totally. Good luck choosing.
I like the flip cover. It protects the screen nicely but I agree it's a little bit awkward to use the phone when it's on. I look for a replacement too what will protect the phone from shocks.
The quality of the flip cover is very bad.. the edges get worn out quick.. took my edges 2 days to start wearin out... sad!
Have anyone else done what I did? I cut the flip away, but still use the back cover as it protects the camera lens and the flash a little better than the original cover. I didn't like the flip at all...
great idea... now y din i think of that??? anyway... skinomi on the original cover also helps avoid cam scratches so am gud
Held back on replying for a coupla weeks till I thoroughly used and abused the flip cover. Don't know what all the complaining is about, 'cos it is a damn fine cover. Does what it says on the tin. Flip cover to protect the screen, no added bulk, nothing on the back as it replaces the old battery cover... No more and no less than I expected. And it has not frayed, cracked, creaked or squeaked. Even folds over flat when I'm reading ebooks or putting it on a stand to watch movies. I don't take photos much with my G-Note, but suppose that might be awkward with the flip tucked behind. You gotta leave it dangling below in landscape. Good enough for me.
What we are complaining about is that we did not get your results with the flip cover. I baby my phone a lot, have never stuck it in a pocket with anything else in it, the flip cover lasted 2-3 days for me before it started fraying at the edges. Another relevant piece of information: went to the local samsung store to get a mhl cable, had a desk where they were getting feedback from galaxy note users in particular and when I told the guy about the flip case, he told me its an issue they were aware of and that they had received a lot of complaints about. He took my number and said he'll come pick up my fipcover create a case and try to get a replacement ( am not holding my breath on this but still seems decent tho) Cursed4Eva
it looks really nice and posh. however, its quality is not very good. the flip back cover easily falls off. i once dropped my GN because of that! now i do not use it anymore!
My note is 2 weeks old now, and my flip cover is holding up nicely so far. No issues with fraying yet. To me it seems very well made. It's true that it offers no real protection from drops. But I have never dropped a phone onto a hard surface before, and still don't intend to! I hate screen protectors because mine always finds a way to peel off or have annoying bubbles. With this cover I have no need for a screen protector. Taking photos is a bit of a pain though. But I don't take photos too often.
very awkward, i returned mine yesterday after using only a few days .. does protect screen well, but that's really it .. i hated having to open it everytime to read text or take call.
Has anybody got a link to the Flip Cover you are all talking about. I find that there are dozens around.
