is there a FM Turner for the Samsung Fascinate?
No not that I have seen the Droid x came with one.
Yeah although the default Galaxy S spec has one we got gimped
I think the proper term is; "We got Verizoned"! Lol!
it's not on the tmobile vibrant, either. you gotta love how they randomly remove things from carrier to carrier!
Not sure what an FM tuner does but you can try an app called "tunein radio". It plays all your local stations and its free
I guess you could say you were TMobiled.
I'm surprised people are still so interested in FM radio at this point.
Good app tip
Its still the principle of it. Besides its good at the gym for watching tv
i load up Pandora and im done...no switching stations, no lengthy commercials, and thank god for NO TOP 40 songs!
ok, i'll bite, lol
ha, Verizon gimped the Droid 2 but some people over at XDA figured out a way to use stuff from the Droid X to enable it. Believe the hardware isn't there altogether on the Fascinate though.
I know! AM Radio is so much better!
Great app! Thanks! Better than an FM radio. It gets the AM radio talk stations too! Now I can stay up all night listening to Coast to Coast without all the static, drift, and skip. If only I didn't have to sleep.
On the lines of FM tuners, is there an app or something that can be used for FM transmission? My car doesn't have bluetooth so that is not an option.
So no one knows of a way to stream Pandora or something similar via a FM transmitter or some app?
I have a Motorola hands free speaker that my phone connects to via bluetooth, and the speaker can connect to my stereo via fm transmitter. That's as close as you are going to get with Fascinate I think.
Don't forget, also great for sports! Especially if you're out of town and want to hear your hometown team play and or local sports talk.
My Incredible has a Radio Tuner. It's useless. You neen head phone for the antenna, it has alot of static too. I'm listening to local channels clears as hell now, thanks to the tip about using tunein!!!
You'd have to use something like this
Amazon.com: Premium Black 3.5mm FM Transmitter Car Kit with LCD For Apple iPhone, iPod, Sandisk Sansa, Microsoft Zune, Creative Zen, Sony Walkman MP3 Players: Electronics
did they remove the hardware/chip for an FM tuner or just no software to fire it up?
have you give any details?
I like TuneIn radio app!!!!
I would love to know the answer to this, as well. So no android apps out there that can control this hardware if there is one in the phone?
Or is there some place we can download the app that was designed for the original galaxy s?
