Followed Caddyman's instructions for phone not sleeping but still at 100%

I followed Caddyman's instructions on what to do if the Native SMS app was keeping my phone awake all the time. After rebooting and letting it sleep for 10 minutes, my phone is still at 100%. I just got it last night so I just have Weather Bug, Handcent SMS, Facebook, Gmail, and Peep installed. I've never had a smart phone so it's possible on of the other settings is keeping it awake, but I have no clue which it would be. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Weather bug. Was doing it for me.

That would make sense. I let my phone die and then am charging it. Weather Bug isn't working for some reason and I checked usage and it was below 50%. Will uninstall it and try something else.

Yep. I use the The Weather Channel. Weatherbug killed my battery.

My usage has been below 20% after running the battery down all the way and not using my phone all night. Just got a notification that Weather Bug had an update and one of the fixes was battery life. Guess I'll leave it installed and see how it goes.

I also had this problem, installed the new version of WB and my wake time is back down around 12%.

I use weatherbug and run it in my notification bar. My awake time is usually around 10%. Weatherbug does not cause any problems for me.

So you all prefer the Weatherbug app over the stock HTC weather widget? I'm not sure if I understand the logic of installing an app that does the same thing as the native app.
