    This is a mod I found that I thought I would share. It's an actual 40Mbps mod for cam that enable full 1080p hd at 30fps. There are also additional features. For 40Mbps go to settings in cam app and select forced bitrate to 20mbps. if it don't work right off..give feedback and let me know and I'll apply my tweak to get it to work for you. It should work on it's own tho. Let me know how it goes and how ya like it. :) After all the help everyone has gave me, this is me hopefully helping you to Max your cam out.

    Have You guys been only getting a max of 20mbps when recording
    video? I have noticed that this mod only allows 20mbps on its own. I have rezipped the file with a tweak of my own to fully enable 40mbps using the forced video bitrate 20mbps setting in the cam app, cracking the 20mbps cap. However this mod always needs to be reinstalled after an OTA Rom embedded updated.

    I am also trying to see if I can go beyond the 40mbps. But only time will tell. Enjoy. ;):)

    The first One X camera mod tried to claim 40, didn't work on ours, so the media profile was set back to 20. Can't recall why, that was 6 months ago, but perhaps something similar here.

    yes..I agree, but with this zip...it does fully and actually enable the 40mbps. I have tested it extensively. and checked under video details/info and with vidtrim app as well.

    For 20mbps on it's own, set forced bitrate in cam app to auto, for 40mbps, set to 20mbps. I know it sounds odd, but that's how the crack works in this case.

    Is that lyapota's 4.0 or 5.1?

    Noted in the thread that 5.1 is working without mods, but they haven't changed the first post on that.

    I'm still using Mike's lyapota port on ics, it was the only one that had all of the mods working before, including variable compression for still shots. I'll check this on my next jb rom test though. :)

    Don't know about the 5.1, I'll look into it at some point. This one does work tho. I am also running on latest meanbean rom as well if it matters. :D

    Here is a new updated zip from 4.0 to now 5.1 from Lyapota that includes a few more features he listed such as powersaver mode when screen off during active camera, better behavior when incoming call with active camera, and more. This of course has my "enable 40mbps" tweak as well. ;)

    *Same rules still apply as for last zip to enable (auto for 20 / 20 for 40) {as listed above}

    OUR CAMS WILL BE MAXED!!! HAHAHA!!!...sorry.:)

    ^^^***[Here is an updated version for users who are experiencing 20mbps only issues and want 40mbps. This is a slighly retweeked version that I tested and does work. If you are NOT having issues-don't worry, you can get/use this to if you want.***^^^
