Help forgot my g-mail username for my htc desire hd

A stupid friend of mine, took my HTC desire HD and tried to break inn through my unlock pattern, eventually he blocked my phone and when i came back and were going to use it, then i had to log into my g-mail, but i dont remember my g-mail username and can't turn the phone on without it. I have no idea of what i can do now. Please help me

If you can't remember, I think the only option is a factory reset I'm afraid.

Is it the username, or just the password? Have you gone to the main gmail page on your PC, maybe the username is stored in your cookies?
