Hello everyone. I'm really new to this whole idea of rooting, loading a rom, etc.. My question is, when loading a custom rom, do i need to click on "Format Fat32+Ext2+LinuxSwap" to format my sd card?

That really depends on the ROM. If the ROM requires partitioning then they will say so but most do not or is optional. Some people like running apps from the SD to give more internal room but if you don't run of out of internal space then don't bother since it has side effects that you might not need to worry about. Mine is partitioned but I only use swap space since I have enough internal space for apps.
