Root formatting with adb problem

    i want to load the new beast on my replacement phone and this is the first time im using adb to format on it

    cache and system go fine but when i format data i get this

    mtd: not erasing bad block at 0x05f80000
    mtd: not erasing bad block at 0x05fc0000

    can these bad blocks cause me a problem with anything

    is a smokey place.
    Not really... but it could be a sign of hardware failure in the future. Unfortunately there's not really that much you can do about it. I mean it's not like your going to go back to vzw and tell them your findings and how..... just wait for it to fail... if and when... then deal with it then.
