Former Treo users - Android app like 2Dial?

Palm/Treo had a great app called 2Dial, which popped up whenever you phoned voicemail and replaced the standard phone dialpad. So instead of having to remember to press "3" to fastfoward a message, there was instead a ">>" button, "Del" instead of a "7", etc. Anything similar in Android?? The 2Dial software developer has other Android apps, but not a 2Dial Android.

I would be very interested in this too. This is the main thing I miss from moving from my Palm.

Yeah me too. I did buy TakephONE since it was on sale for Android but it is not as nice as it was on my Treo. Not quite as functional or as pretty. The other apps by ShSh haven't made it through to Android yet. I would like to see 4Cast too. The weather apps available don't impress me so far. And I really liked 2dial. I hate voicemail.

    Hi all,

So nice to hear people looking for my apps.

    1. 2dial - the Android OS interface does not allow developers to build code that can play DTMF tones on the line during a call. This is what prevents me from porting 2dial to Android.
If I ever find a way to do it - 2dial is the first thing I will do...

    2. TAKEphONE - what functionalities are you missing ? I will be adding the call card mechanism soon.
As for looks - about to release a prettier version soon.

    3. Other apps - I use an Android device, and boy how I miss 2day...
I will be porting it as soon as I have the time.
As for 4cast - I thought there was no point in porting it, since there are so many free alternatives. But - if so many users want it - I might try...

    Thanks !

The android version of TakephONE is missing the bluetooth on/off toggle and I always forget to turn my bluetooth on before I go to the phone app. Then have to go back to the bluetooth widget and then back to the phone app. It was nice in the Palm version to just click turn on bluetooth. A small thing to spoil a person but there you are. I really miss that feature.
