Foxfi not working anymore

I thought my S7 Edge several months ago and everything was great until the new 7.0 nougat update, then Verizon took away with that update the wifi mode. I drive truck for a living and absolutely relied on my foxfi app to run every device in my truck that required internet. What I want to know is if there is a way wether by rooting or otherwise to uninstall the 7.0 update to previous version or anything that will get me back my wifi mode so I can use foxfi again? I have for the present returned to using my note 4 so that I can use it with foxfi. Any help appreciated.
