FR22D - is this the FLASH update or is it the one thats supposed to fix some of the glitches in 2.1?

For those of you that DO have Flash, how do you know you have it? Will I receive an OTA update that will clearly state "this is the flash update"?

Do we have to download anything from the market for it work first.

BTW I have version 2.2 and my phone says its currently up to date thats why I am a little confused.

Do you indeed have "D" ? If you do, it enables you to download Flash from the marketplace.

No, I do not have "D" yet. One of my friends got it early this morning so I guess they are still phasing it in. I guess I will just sit back and wait for it! LOL!

2 days ago I still did not have the second ota update. When I did a factory reset, the second ota appeared as the phone was setting up.

FRG22D fixes some glitches and security problems. Adds new features under settings for application control and info on that specific app. As Goldrush said you download flash from the market. Enjoy

I did Frg22 back in June when it first came out....then I installed the 10.1 flash app separately and keep it on my SD card for any needs.

This week verizon pushed me my 'update' as I suspected it bricked my droid. It froze in installation and I had to pull the battery out 3 times through 3 runs and resets before it 'reverted' to my very happy overclocked, flash installed FRG22. Thank you much Verizon but leave me alone please!

I did check the market however and my phone will not locate 10.1 flash in my market app. Probably due to the fact that I already have it? I dunno. All I know is that the guys who released the froyo app to us all ( recall flash was promised to us last spring!!) which then allowed us to overclock and get our own flash months ago deserve an academy award.

My OTA update was waiting for me at 7 am EST this morning. I had recorded (with pen and paper!) everything I wanted to reinstall a few days ago, along with all three of my email account settings, and I had used Astro and Lookout to backup everything. I was confident I was ready to not only update, but to factory reset, as that seemed to be well-advised by many here on the forum.
I installed the update, did a factory reset, and then began what I thought was a rather long process of reloading everything and re-establishing my email accounts.
Despite not knowing the best way to use my backup files, I was able to get almost all my apps back and my 5 screens back to the way they were prior to the update.
Problems? You bet. My Exchange has the problems many have posted about - I now have to use a pin every time the screen goes black. I had checked with our Exchange administrator at work a few days ago and he had told me this would not be necessary - but it was! I also used 80 percent of my battery getting the phone set up.
My speaker sounds worse, but my calls sound clearer.
The good news is that the screen seems easier to read in sunlight.
Like anything else "new," I'm sure I'll work out, or work around, what bothers me about this update.
But bless this forum -- I'd be dead in the water without the kind and knowledgeable contributors here!

I wouldn't do a factory reset unless I was experiencing problems.
