    Hi Guys,

Based on the current debate about privacy I've developed a Steganography App. This App hides messages and files in plain images. The images can be shared by email or social media. No one but the initiate will be able to read the message.

Version 1.9 has been released and contains a couple of Bug Fixes:

    • Fix image import from various email clients
    • Fix image import from picasa/google+
    • Fix Android's PRNG mess

    this might be amazing.

    two questions

    1. does the app contain stock images, or do you have to use your own?
    2. is the action bar why it requires 3.0+, or is there something in the encryption not available on GB?

The App doesn't contain stock images, you can import whatever you want. You can use images from your camera or any other image on your phone. The format and image size doesn't matter. The app automatically resize the image to the appropriate size.

There are some Bitmap functions that are only available in Android 3.0, e.g. BitmapFactory.Options.inMutable which is required to directly modify the bitmap pixel data. I'm not sure right now if there are other function that were not available, but the Actionbar was not the reason (it's included in the Support Library anyway)

I checked the code again and BitmapFactory.Options.inMutable is really the only reason why it's not available on GB. I've already found a solution to create a mutable image on that plattform, so there will be an update next week to make it available on Gingerbread.

I also think about providing some stock images, so the user can decide whether to use a stock image or his own custom image.

Thanks for your feedback, this really helps to improve my app.

I was thinking about encryption apps and this does looks interesting. My phone uses GB so I'll have to wait for you to have it available to try it out.

    Thnx.
