Freezing GTab

I have rooted my GTab and installed various Roms over the past few months, and have had various levels of success. I am now running GTab Comb. There is one issue that seems to always creep up with each rom, making me wonder if there is a hardware issue with my GTab. After I have it going for a few days, and install various apps that I like, it will freeze up on me. I will generally force it to restart and then there will be things lost, like I have lost my exchange account, and generally, I lose the widgets and things I have set up on the home screen.

It kind of feels like it may be trying to do some kind of large updage downloading data or something, and so it just feels like it is frozen. In fact, this happened last night, so I just let it sit overnight, and this morning it all seemed good.

Does anyone have any thoughts into this? Is there a way for me to see what is going on in the background, to see if I can determine what might be making it seem like it is frozen?

BTW - thanks for everyone's help here over the past few months! You guys are great!

I had the same problem with GTab Comb. I have yet to use a honeycomb ROM without some sort of problem, no matter if I follow installation directions exactly or not. It might be something with our tablets, but I've been happy with Vegan Ginger and other cm7 ROMS.

Thanks! I have had the same issues with Vegan Ginger in the past, but maybe I should give that a try again.

Disappearing apps may be because the apps are saved as USB storage and not on the tablet itself. You might have to look in Manage Applications and see where your missing ones are located. If it says USB Storage just move to Move to Tablet.

GTabcomb does sometimes revert to the initial screen to start your tablet account. You can choose to press the SKIP button and your tablet will work, but you will have to put your gmail info in Market or GMail though. I don't know why it does that. It seems to be random. When I moved from the 1.1 version to 1.2 bootloader version (sorry whatever folks say about how easy it is to change the bootloader, it is NOT for the faint of heart. I bricked my tab but got it fixed fairly easily), I stopped getting that sign in screen as often (Note I said as often. It still pops up every now and then, but I usually do a skip and move on).

Well, I went back to Vegan Ginger with a couple of new issues, but I am certain I did not have any apps on the USB storage.
