Root FRESH Rom and Handscent SMS

i just flashed my phone with FRESH last night. the only issue i have with it is my handscent sms app. it lags pretty good. it takes a good 4-5 seconds for the msg to pop up when its received and it takes way longer to open the app and load all my msgs.

its not a huge nuisance, just bugs the shit out of me for some reason.

anyone else have problems with handscent with FRESH??

It was slow on mine too. I just use the stock message app now

No issues here. Have you tried clearing the data on handcent uninstaliing and reinstalling the most current version from the market?

looks like deleting all of my msgs did the trick, i had ALOT of them...took F'n forever to delete them. they were all imported from my backup, so that was probably the problem.

Deleting messages does take a ridiculous amount of time.

I turn on auto delete set my message limit to 50. I can't think of a time where I absolutely had to go back 300 messages, though saving them may be important to some. It keeps my SMS clean and snappy.

yeah, the more messages the more time it takes for handcent to load
