Help From iPhone (2G) to DHD via Mac/OSX

Hello everybody!
Finally got my brand new DHD and I'm already loving it!
My question is as follows:
I'm a happy OSX user, but want to get away from my iPhone (2G). I've since ever done my syncs with iTunes (of course), therefore I have iCal and Contacts synchronized. Emails are simply a GMail account, but this will be another issue later on.

So how do I perform my "migration" to DHD starting from the fact that I have my contacts and calendars on MacBook/OSX?

And another thing: does DHD calendar also support multiple calendars, as iPhone does?
Does it also support multiple "contacts", in terms of contact sources (like GMail contacts, MacBook contacts, Exchange/ActiveSync contacts)?

This would be the first steps I'd like to take, before going on with my DHD.

Any help will be very appreciated, thanks in advance!

All you need to do is sync iCal and contacts to your Gmail account (google search should help)

Did it too, but missing some things:

1) birthdays from iCal not showing up in Google Contacts
2) how to create a birthday reminder/calendar and sync it?
