Help Front Camera Use

Can the front facing camera be used for anything aside from the video chats? I haven't successfully been able to figure out how to take pictures with it, and was hoping it would be an option so I don't have to keep facing the phone the opposite way and guess where I'm shooting. I've tried searching youtube but that was useless. Help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Yes, you can take pics from the front camera. IIRC, the option is in the settings when in the camera app.
