Froyo for galxy 5?

    when is froyo comming to galaxy 5? i have read that it was supposed to already be here yet i see no trace of update:mad:.
    Does anyone have any info on this cause froyo will fix a lot of stuff with galaxy 5 and it will give us multi-touch:D:D and ap instalation to sd card.

    I am not sure if it can be upgraded some reviews say it cant be and the dealer i got the phone from also told it cant be upgraded to froyo. Hope they are wrong

    I used Kies of samsung...
    no results...
    and i've now i5500XWJG3 version. android 2.1-update1:thinking:

    Froyo update AKA android 2.2 has been leaked by the guys here at samfirmware.com... It would be out for both GALAXY 5 and GALAXY 3 officially within a few days....Cheers!!

    however you can get it and install it now from Samfirmware.
    Im from europe and it works no probs. just be sure to do
    FULL WIPE /factory settings/ after you install it.

    Its faster,looks better and has some new goodies.

    I'm from The Netherlands.Europe.
    So if i install the USA version, is my mobile than still Dutch as language?:thinking:

    Did you use odin to do this? or some complicated procedure?

    Do you have the same language as in your old version 2.1?
    Or is your language changed to American English?

    Upgrade for froyo in Galaxy 5 is doable. Some are able to do it successfully as we speak. I am just waiting for any reported problems on the newly updated phone before il do it myself. Odin was used to do the upgrade.

    yes i flashed with odin. took bout 2-3mins.
    bout language,i lost my (croatian) but theres regular english so im using that.

    Also,seems like my battery lasts 30-40% more with this release :rolleyes:

    Thats fine i want english. Where did u get odin? i am not able to find it.
    And do u have to root first?
