Why is LG putting off FroYo for the Ally. It's not worst phone on running Android. So why? Our amazing, awesome devs already cooked up a Froyo rom and its good. Is LG not smart or something?
This has already been discussed many, many times before...most popular consensus is that Verizon wants to push their higher end phones during the holiday sales and does not want to compete against their cheaper phones.
I kno its coming out in Feb., just wondering why they couldnt just develop it earlier and give it to vzw.
Yeah, it has nothing to do with the quality of our phones. It is all a marketing strategy for making money and pushing all of the more expensive devices. And Gingerbread would be pretty cool but like GRZLA said, don't get your hopes up. Really I don't see any problem at all with 2.1 with all of the amazing ROM's available now. The Ally cant support all the features that 2.2 has to offer anyway.
I do like the performance of 2.2 People say that it will slow our phones down but that's not the case I think. The stock Vortex is snappier by far over a stock Ally. Let's just say it will be very interesting to see what it will do once the devs get ahold of the actual updated ROM. I'm gonna say it will blaze.
I know that Ally wont get Gingerbread. Its just thay LG said last yr some month like september or november that froyo will be released to us Ally usersn
It won't get Gingerbread from LG is what you meant to say. We have some hardworking devs that in the future with enough beer money might get us a working gingerbread port
Came this morning! We'll see what kind of difference it makes. Anyone tell me what I should expect to see?
