But I would not hold my breath for 2.3 and even worse for 3.0 to ever come out for the Vibrant.

I would prefer it to take longer and be solid, than sooner and buggy. Apparently there are already reports of bugs in the Europe release.

If you're talking about Gingerbread, I thought there were multiple blog posts (here as well as on androidcentral) confirming that 2.3 is Gingerbread, not 3.0 as previously thought.

Is this website reliable? It shows the world wide date release of froyo for the galaxy s phones. Froyo for the vibrant starts rolling out the 11th apparently.
